The Town of St. Paul has appointed a new Cheif Administrative Officer (CAO), Kim Heyman. “We’re excited!” proclaims Mayor of St. Paul Maureen Miller.
“She’s no stranger to the community, she was CAO for the County and now she’s with the AAMDC; we’re happy to have her come back to the community,” Mayor Miller says she is confident in Council’s decision in hiring Heyman. From May 2002 to November 2007 Heyman served as the CAO for the County of St. Paul, before taking a position as Director of Advocacy for the AAMDC. The AAMDC (Alberta Association of Municipal Districts) is an independent association comprising Alberta’s 69 counties and municipal districts.
As CAO, Heyman is the only employee of the Town that is hired by Mayor & Council. She will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Town; including the staff and keeping Mayor & Council informed of procedures and policies.
Heyman will start her role with the Town on January 15th. Acting CAO, Trevor Kotowich says he too is excited for her start and will transition back to his role as Director of Emergency Services for the Town.
