Cold Lake RCMP are reminding both drivers and cyclists to stay alert and share the road safely following a vehicle-versus-cyclist collision in Cold Lake.
Police say they received a report of the collision at approximately 8:18 a.m. on May 28 at the intersection in front of Cold Lake City Hall.
Cold Lake RCMP, along with Cold Lake Fire-Rescue and Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene. The cyclist received medical attention and is expected to recover without life-threatening injuries.
Following their investigation, RCMP determined the collision was not criminal in nature.
Police are reminding drivers to remain vigilant in crosswalk zones, watch for pedestrians and cyclists, and obey speed limits in areas with higher foot traffic. Cyclists are also encouraged to wear a helmet whenever riding.
