With saddened hearts, the family of Eileen Sylvia Rymut Schmidt of Bonnyville, Alberta announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the age of 88 years.
Eileen is lovingly survived by her children: Pam Rondeau of Bonnyville, AB, Bev (Edward) Cameron of Bonnyville, AB, Dennis Rymut (Terra LaFortune) of Slave Lake, AB, Ruth (Floyd) Isley of Bonnyville, AB, Gary (Amanda) Rymut of Slave Lake, AB, step sons: Bradley (Vanessa Proznick) Schmidt of Saskatoon, SK, Jason Schmidt of Lashburn, SK; daughter-in-law: Jane Rymut; grandchildren: Jeremy Rondeau (Carolina), Robin (Julie) Rondeau, Nicole (Harley) Whaley, Cody (Randi) Rymut, Clayton (Jaclyn) Rymut, Scott (Jaclyn) Cameron, Jen (Jordan) Costley, Logan (Kristen) Isley, Lucas (Mackenzie) Isley, Shelby (Neil) Langridge, Nikki (Randy) Zahara, Jessica (Russ) Harder; great grandchildren: Oliver & Tristan Rondeau, Vadin Vandenbossche, Harlee (Alex) Andryszewski, Cali & Summer Cameron, Henry, Gus & Will Rymut, Connor, Hannah & Carson Rymut, Jaeden, Lylah & Winter Zahara, Dillon Rymut, Owen & Dawson Costley, Harper & Kaia Isley, Lane, Lacey & Ava Isley, Oaklyn Langridge; brother: John Bellamy of Dapp, AB.
Eileen is predeceased by her first husband of 26 years: Ted Rymut; second husband of 26 years: Peter Schmidt; son: Carmen Rymut (2023); seven brothers and four sisters.
In honour of Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., St. John’s United Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Reverend Sung Soon Park officiating. Urnbearers: Robin Rondeau, Jeremy Rondeau, Scott Cameron, Justin Rymut, Ted Rymut, Logan Isley, Lucas Isley, Cody Rymut, Clayton Rymut. Honorary Urnbearers: Shelby Isley, Nicole Whaley, Meaghan Rymut, Jen Costley, Nikki Zahara, Dillon Rymut, Mariana Cardenas Sepulveda.
