Richard J. McCluskey

born September 7, 1950. It is with deeply broken hearts that the family of Richard McCluskey, age 75, announces his passing on July 27,2026, at St. Claires Mercy Hospital.
Richard (Dick) was a remarkably kind, gentle soul who brought endless joy to everyone who knew him. He retired from the Canadian Military as Warrant Officer with over 30 years of service, where he influenced an untold number of military members.

Adored and deeply missed by his wife, Deborah, his children, Laura (Dave), Steve and Daniel, stepchildren Abigail (Mark) and Ben, his grandchildren Slade, Ember, Bladen, Triston (Cassandra), Callie, Alicia, Elliott, Duncan, Alic and Olivia, his great grandchildren Oliver, Lincoln and Preston, who were the absolute lights of his life, his siblings Helena (Greg), Barb (Fred), Theresa (Greg), Rose (Phil), Jeff (Darlene), his Aunt Noella and Aunt Mary Ella, close family friend Daniel Malouin and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his first wife Linda Louise McCluskey (Lyon), his sister Louisa McCluskey, his brothers Vernon McCluskey Jr and Gregory McCluskey.

 

Celebration Luncheon in Remembrance
Richard (Dick) McCluskey on September 12, 2026, at Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess, CFB Cold Lake from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Light refreshments provided. Please come in casual dress and with any pictures or stories you would like to share.
