Darlene “Darce” Joy (Dutertre) Mercier

October 18, 1953 ~ August 28, 2026 (72 Years Old)\

With saddened hearts, the family of Darlene “Darce” Joy Mercier of Bonnyville, Alberta announce the passing of their wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt on Friday, August 28, 2026 at the age of 72 years.

Darce loved spending time with her family, quadding, camping and golfing at Lea Park. She especially enjoyed large family get-togethers for all occasions and decorating the house for Christmas and Halloween.

Darce is forever remembered by her loving husband of 56 years, Roland Mercier; sons: Shane (Veronica Bowers) Mercier, Troy (Valora Douglas) Mercier; grandchildren: Mackenzie Doll-Mercier, Meagan (Brandon) McGinley, Tyler (Grace) Barclay, Dally Irwin; great grandchildren: Hadlee & Kayson McGinley, Lilith Barclay; brother: Glen (Shelley) Dutertre; sister: Linda (Ron) Fox; sisters-in-law: Suzanne Levasseur, Carmen (Doug) Hoph, Dianna Levasseur; brothers-in-law: Mike Loyer, Tugo Kozina, Dave Pruss, Dennis Ducharme, Louis (Paulette) Levasseur; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Darce is being reunited with her parents, Robert & Emma Dutertre; parents-in-law: Paul & Louella Mercier; sister: Diane Loyer; sisters-in-law: Celine Kozina, Joanne Pruss, Rose Ducharme; brothers-in-law: Dennis Levasseur, Paul Levasseur.

In honour of Darce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life, Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre, GenMec ACL Hall, Bonnyville, Alberta with Christine Tercier officiating.
