M.D. cancels in-person budget open house & La Corey MASP

Mandatory 15-person limit on social gatherings in effect.

The M.D. of Bonnyville has postponed open houses scheduled for this week because of increased health restrictions.

The M.D. was set to host their third budget open house Monday night at the Beaver River Fish and Game building and a La Corey Major Area Structure Plan at Willow Prairie Hall Tuesday night.

In a written statements Monday morning, the M.D. said that they are looking at virtual ways of engaging with residents.

The province has upped health measures with rising COVID cases in Alberta.

Bonnyville, Cold Lake, and St. Paul are all on AHS’s “watch list” which means there are 10 active cases in the local areas.

On Friday, the mandatory 15-person limit on social gatherings was expanded to all communities on the watch list.
