LCSD bringing author and renowned psychologist to Bonnyville in the fall
Lakeland Catholic School District is pleased to announce that Dr. Jody Carrington will be providing an evening presentation for parents and community members on Friday, September 27 in Bonnyville.
Dr. Carrington is a worldwide acclaimed professional speaker, author and game changer.
Her presentation is called: “The Power of Relationships” and focuses on how people can strengthen the relationship between their children, their partners and themselves.
The session will take place at École Notre Dame High School from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on Friday, September 27. All parents and community members are welcome to attend this engaging session.
“We are very fortunate to have Dr. Carrington coming to the Lakeland and to our District to share her expertise with us,” said LCSD Deputy Superintendent, Pamela Guilbault.
Carrington has spoken in Elk Point and St. Paul previously.
Carrington passionately believes in the power of the relationships we have with the people we love, lead and teach.
Her favourite thing on the planet to do is to speak with educators – they have the power to change the trajectory of a life every single day.
It’s time, she believes, that we need to start focusing less on kids these days and more on those of you who hold them every day.
The core of everything she speaks and writes about comes down to this: we are wired to do hard things.
We can do those hard things so much easier when we remember this: we are wired for connection.
Dr. Carrington will also be speaking to all Lakeland Catholic School District (LCSD) staff on Friday, September 27 at the District’s Professional Learning Day, which is being held in Bonnyville this year.
