Cold Lake’s Gavin Harrison Named AJHL Rookie of the Week for the Third Time
Gavin Harrison is not just leading the AJHL rookie race — he’s owning it.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs forward has been named Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, further cementing his spot as one of the league’s most electric young players.
Third time this season
Harrison earned Rookie of the Week honours:
▪️ September 22–28, 2025
▪️ January 12–18, 2026
▪️ February 9–15, 2026
Three selections in one season. That’s not a hot streak — that’s consistency.

Hat trick headline weekend
The 2009-born forward from Cold Lake exploded for five points (3G, 2A) last week to stay on top of the AJHL rookie scoring race.
On February 14, Harrison recorded his second hat trick of the season — including his first game-winning goal — and added an assist in a dominant 7-1 road win over the Canmore Eagles.
He followed that up the next night by picking up his 22nd assist of the season in Calgary.
Leading all rookies
With nine games remaining in the regular season, Harrison leads all AJHL rookies with:
▪️ 44 points
▪️ 22 goals
▪️ 22 assists
The Swift Current Broncos draft pick continues to prove he belongs — and then some.
As the Pontiacs push for a playoff spot, Harrison isn’t just contributing. He’s driving the offence.
Three Rookie of the Week awards.
League-leading numbers.
And he’s just getting started.
