Two Teens Arrested in Connection to Boxing Day Vehicle Break-ins in Bonnyville
On the evening of December 26th, 2015, the Bonnyville RCMP responded to a 911 call for service in the area of 53 Avenue and 49 Street in the town of Bonnyville regarding break and enters into vehicles. The complainant reported that two males were observed going through several different vehicles.
During the investigation Bonnyville RCMP Constables located and arrested two males, 15 and 19 year old residents of Elizabeth Metis Settlement, in connection to the thefts. Items were seized in relation to these thefts and are believed to have been stolen from several different vehicles.
The Bonnyville RCMP Detachment would like to return these items to their owners and are asking citizens who parked in the area and believe their vehicle had been broken into/ gone through or are missing items from their vehicles to attend the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment and file a police report.
This type of crime is one that the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment receives numerous complaints of and is a crime we would like to see diminish in our area. Along with the police making active patrols, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment is asking residents of our detachment area to ensure that your vehicles are always locked and that all valuables are removed.
