It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Mrs. Claire Jeanette Simmons of Cold Lake announces her passing on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 87 years, where she joins her husband H. Stephen Simmons with our lord and savior.
Claire was a woman of deep and abiding faith, and her spirituality guided her throughout her life.
She will be forever loved by her children, Bill (Charity) Simmons of Cold Lake and Michelle Simmons of Winnipeg, MB; her siblings, Rejean (Karen) Doucet of Drayton Valley and Michel (Germaine) Lehodey of Edmonton; and her brother in law, Michael Simmons of England.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Simmons; her parents, Laurette and Albert Doucet; her baby brother, Hubert; and her brother, Bernard Doucet.
Christian burial mass will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake, with interment to follow in St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
