According to a notice issued by the Town of Elk Point, roads, sidewalks and other low-lying areas have been impacted as rainfall continues to create drainage challenges across town.
Public Works crews have been actively working to reduce water levels by clearing storm drains, monitoring affected locations and responding to areas experiencing significant water buildup.
Municipal officials are asking residents for patience as crews work to restore normal drainage conditions as quickly as possible.
Safety Remains the Priority
The Town is encouraging residents to take extra precautions while travelling around the community.
Drivers are advised to slow down and avoid flooded roadways whenever possible, while pedestrians are encouraged to stay clear of flooded walkways and standing water.
