Students from across St. Paul Education will soon take centre stage to showcase ideas aimed at solving real-world challenges affecting schools and communities.

The 2026 Student Innovation Challenge, hosted by St. Paul Education and the Advancing Educational Equity in Partnership (AEEP), will take place May 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Regional High School gymnasium.

The event will feature student teams from Glen Avon, St. Paul Regional, Racette, SPAEC and Mallaig schools. Working alongside teachers and mentors, students in Grades 9–12 have developed poster presentations focused on challenges connected to St. Paul Education priorities.

Organizers say the initiative is designed to provide hands-on learning through community-engaged inquiry while helping students build transferable skills for post-secondary education and future careers.

Families, students, school staff, trustees and community members are invited to attend, walk through the presentations, ask questions and support the students’ work.

According to the event information, the morning schedule includes:

  • 9:30 a.m. — Opening remarks
  • 9:35 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. — Poster sessions
  • 11:30 a.m. — Closing ceremony

The Student Innovation Challenge will be held in the gymnasium at St. Paul Regional High School, located at 4701 44 Street in St. Paul.
