CONTRACT GRANT ADMINISTRATOR (PART-TIME)
The Town of Bonnyville’s Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Contract Grant Administrator to oversee the administration, compliance, and financial management of grant-funded programs. This role ensures all grant activities align with organizational policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in contracts, grants, procurement, or program administration.
- Strong understanding of the grant and contract lifecycle.
- Knowledge of government policies, procurement rules, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in budgeting, financial tracking, and audits.
- Strong writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and draft contracts.
- Proficiency in Excel and data management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the full lifecycle of grants and contracts, including application support, budgeting, reporting, and closeout.
- Review grant agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements and regulations.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and applicable cost principles.
- Prepare and submit financial and narrative reports to funding agencies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all grant documentation.
- Collaborate with program managers, finance, and legal teams to support grant activities and resolve compliance issues.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on grant compliance, reporting, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate audits and assist in addressing audit findings related to grants and contracts.
- Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and renewal opportunities using project management or grant management tools.
- Perform other related duties as required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires working independently in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Successful completion of pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing is required.
HOURS & TERM:
- 15–20 hours per week (subject to adjustment based on operational needs).
- One-year contract with the possibility of extension.
