On Monday, December 15, 2025 Robert “Bob” Popyk passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years surrounded by his family at the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre.

Bob is lovingly survived by his children: Debbie (Russel) Waskiewich, Annette Supruniuk, Joe (Kyla) Popyk; grandchildren: Christy (Clint) Vick, Sarah (Kyle) Ens, Laura Waskiewich (Marc Vallee), Curt Supruniuk, Ross Supruniuk, Cayden Popyk, Amara Popyk; great grandchildren: Gunnar Tomm, Wylie Tomm, Lucas Ens, Drew Ens; brothers-in-law: Jim (Mary) Strumecki, Jerry (Margaret) Strumecki, Joe (Linda) Strumecki; sister-in-law: Judy Strumecki; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob is now in the loving arms of his wife: Julie Popyk; grandson: Ryan Waskiewich; parents: John & Frances Popyk; sisters: Marie (Tom Kryzanowski & Mike) Kaminsky, Sophie (Fred) Kotowich, Jenny (Pete) Kossey, Olga (John) Durec; brother-in-law: Julian Strumecki; nephews: leonard Kryzanowski, Jim Durec; nieces: Helen Misiwich, Iris Kotowich, Susan Dwan.

Visitation and prayers, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta with cremation to follow. A funeral service and celebration of Bob’s life will follow in the spring of 2026.
