William “Bill” Bodnar Obituary
With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of William “Bill” Bodnar of Bonnyville, Alberta regretfully announces the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the age of 95 years.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of cherished memories are his five children: Julian Bodnar, Harvey (Coreen) Bodnar, Randy Bodnar (Blandina), Tammy (Glen) Weibelzahl, Tracy (Tom) Casselman; son-in-law: Denis Lauzon (Suzanne); eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three treasured great grandchildren; brother: Nick Bodnar; twin sister: Helen Lavoie; sister: Mary Taschuk; Bill is also remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his wife of 70 years: Henrietta Bodnar; daughter: Darlene Lauzon; parents: John & Elsie Bodnar; seven siblings: John, Alex, George, Mike, Dick, Peter Bodnar, Nancy Malo; infant sister: Maria.
Funeral Service, Monday, October 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (Eulogy will begin at 10:50 a.m.), St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Bill will be laid to rest next to his wife, Henrietta, at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Bonnyville Extendicare, Bonnylodge and Dr. Bernard for their compassionate care of Bill over the years.
