STARS airlifts woman, others injured in intersection of Highway 41 & 29

On Tuesday, June 24, at approximately 5:45PM, Elk Point RCMP responded to a complaint of serious motor vehicle collision between two SUVs at the intersection of Highway 29 and Highway 41 in the County of St. Paul. 

RCMP, EMS and Elk Point Fire Department arrived on scene, where a 78yearold female passenger was found in critical condition and was airlifted to Edmonton by STARS.

Both drivers and remaining passenger were transported to hospital by ground ambulance with nonlifethreatening injuries. 

RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist attended scene and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision.
