More info on Arnold’s court proceedings to come from Wainwright date
More information about the court proceeding and charges to Janelle Arnold could come out later this week following her scheduled court appearance in Wainwright on Thursday.
The court date on Tuesday in Bonnyville did not see the former Duclos School teacher appear via CCTV, just legal counsel and the Crown.
Arnold, 35, is currently being held at Edmonton Remand Centre.
Arnold’s bail was revoked in relation to the charges of sexual assault and sexual contact with a child.
With the latest charges laid by Wainwright RCMP on Oct. 26 following a second incident with a child — which include invitation to sexual touching, child luring, and failing to comply with a release order — some of these matters will be spoken to at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wainwright on Thursday.
The original charges laid by Bonnyville RCMP include sexual assault and sexual interference, announced on Sept. 11. It is alleged she paid off a child to keep quiet about the sexual incident.
