One man wanted, one charged in major drug bust

RCMP have laid charges and are looking for another suspect after almost 400 grams of meth were seized by the authorities.

While investigating a stolen vehicle at a residence in Saddle Lake, RCMP members located a female who was found to be on outstanding warrants. 

Police say a personal search during her arrest revealed a handgun in her purse. 

A search warrant was executed on the residence relating to the stolen vehicle, and evidence of drug trafficking, including more than 390 grams of suspected meth and cocaine were located along with another firearm.

Nicole Cardinal, 23, of Saddle Lake, is facing seven firearms related offences, in relation to her being in possession of the handgun. She was released from custody after a judicial interim release hearing on a $2500 promise to pay. 

Her next court date is set for November 30th, 2023.

Meanwhile, Tyson Hunter is currently wanted in relation to these charges. 

Hunter, 51, of Saddle Lake is facing numerous charges including Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (2x), Possession of a weapon contrary to a court order (4x), Failing to comply with a release order condition (3x), as well as numerous other weapons related offences.
