Lac La Biche RCMP execute search warrant, recover 11 stolen vehicles
On Oct 3, 2023, Lac La Biche RCMP entered an investigation into a rural property where suspected stolen property was located. Lac La Biche RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Beaver Lake and recovered multiple stolen vehicles.
As a result of the search, 7 stolen trucks, 2 stolen trailers, a stolen golf cart, and a stolen dirt bike were all recovered. In addition, multiple suspected stolen vehicle parts, licence plates, and vehicle chassis were recovered.
Two people were located and arrested at the time of the search warrant and were later released to appear in Lac La Biche court at a later date. As charges have not been sworn their names cannot be released. This remains an active police investigation and an update will be provided at a later date.
“This is the third search warrant that Lac La Biche RCMP have executed at this same property in four years. The Lac La Biche RCMP will continue to target this activity in our efforts at crime reduction to ensure a safer community for the residents of Beaver Lake and Lac La Biche County,” says Acting Lac La Biche RCMP Detachment Commander Sgt Trevor Cardinal.
