Stolen vehicles, weapons, seized in Goodridge search warrant
RCMP seized stolen vehicles, an ATV, and other vehicle related items, and arrested a man in Goodridge after a search warrant.
On the morning of Thursday, June 15, the Bonnyville RCMP attended a rural residence in Goodridge on Township Road 624 near Range Rd 493, and executed a search warrant in search of stolen vehicles.
They were not alone, as K Division Auto Theft Unit, St. Paul Police Dog Services and the Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit all assisted.
Police seized two pickup trucks, one SUV, an ATV, a camper trailer, a stolen oilfield battery, vehicle keys, a loaded .22 rifle with ammunition, and two “ninja stars” were seized from the property, RCMP said on Friday.
Trevor Mischuk, 46, of Goodridge was arrested at the scene and is facing a series of charges, including possession of stolen property over $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000, VIN altering, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm and two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
A bail hearing was held and the Justice of the Peace released Mischuk without having to pay any cash, RCMP said.
His first court appearance is set for Tuesday, June 27th in Bonnyville.
