A Cold Lake woman is facing a series of charges after being found in a stolen vehicle.

In Bonnyville on Tuesday, June 6 at 4:00 pm, a member of the Bonnyville RCMP was on patrol on 50th Ave and saw a blue Jeep Renegade SUV with a female driver and three passengers.

Police knew that a similar SUV with that same description had been involved in a crime in Cold Lake the day before, RCMP said.

A quick police check revealed it was stolen and had been spray painted blue instead of its make colour of orange.

After the female driver was arrested, meth and weapons, which included a baton and bear spray, were located in the vehicle as well as two loaded needles.

Jennifer Fiddler, 44, of Cold Lake was on a release document from a previous arrest that included conditions of not to be in possession of any weapons and not be inside a motor vehicle without the registered owner.

She is charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with Release Conditions, Driving While Suspended, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Carrying a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Possession of Meth.

A bail hearing was held and Fiddler was remanded into custody. Her first appearance is set for June 12th.

The occupants of the vehicle were questioned but released without arrest.
