Severe thunderstorm watch in effect; tornado watch for Vermilion-Two Hills area
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for most areas of the Lakeland, while further south toward Frog Lake and closer to the Saskatchewan border, there is a tornado watch.
An Alberta Emergency Alert was issued for east-central Alberta; between approximately highway 599 to the south and the North Saskatchewan River/Frog lake nation to the north, within 130 km of the Saskatchewan border, for a tornado watch.

They believe conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes late this afternoon and this evening. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.
Meanwhile in the Cold Lake-Bonnyville, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect, issued by Environment Canada.
If this is upgraded to a tornado warning is issued for your area, Environment Canada recommends you take the following actions: Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor possible, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet.
