Doc Walker to perform Canada Day in Bonnyville; call for non-profits to do Steak & Beer

The Town of Bonnyville is looking to bolster its Canada Day lineup with fun and drink.

They are looking for local non-profit group(s) to offer a steak & beer sit-down style barbeque during the Party in the Park on July 1.

So far, the full menu of festivities will remain similar.

A pancake breakfast will again be held at Sobeys. The Canada Day parade will roll through Main Street at 3:00pm.

Then, the action flips to Little Leap Park again with family activities at 4:00pm, the Main Street Band at 8:30pm, and a performance by country artist Doc Walker at 10:00pm. Fireworks will then follow.

For the sit-down, it would be the sole responsibility of the non-profit to plan and execute, which would include providing food, beverages, AGLC licensing, fencing, seating, etc.

This will confirm all the proceeds from this fundraising event would be retained by the organizing group, the Town says.

The deadline for group(s) to register for this fundraising opportunity is Friday, June 2. For more information, call Doreen at 780-826-3496.
