RCMP charge Bonnyville man breaking into mailboxes

A Bonnyville man is facing charges after being caught in the act stealing mail.

On Monday, March 13 just before 9:00pm, Bonnyville RCMP went to the post office during a break and enter.

Police said they found a suspect in the midst of breaking into individual mailboxes.

Ashley Klassen, 39, of Bonnyville, faces charges of breaking and entering a business, possession of break-in instruments, and mischief under $5000.

They were arrested and brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released to appear in court on April 4.

Police said a condition of the arrest was to not attend any Canada Post office.
