The awards were hosted virtually, on May 27 in the Lakeland Connect studios. The awards pay tribute to hard-working entrepreneurs and businesses whose achievements and contributions to the community distinguish them from their peers. The winners are positive role models who have shown the desire to improve the community.

Lise Fielding is the President of the Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce.

“We are beyond grateful to be able to bring you all a little happiness today,” Fielding said in the awards show. “Tonight is about you, our businesses. It’s about everything you’ve overcome and continue to overcome. It’s about how you’ve faced immense challenges, and came back even stronger.”

The award recipients are as follows:

Nearly 100 nominations representing over 35 businesses were brought forward by the community for these amazing awards.

“We’ve come together and shown resiliency throughout such an unprecedented time,” Fielding said.

Shannon Stubbs, Member of Parliament for the Lakeland, brought greetings to the community during the awards show.

“I’m really excited to be able to share congratulations to all the nominees and successful recipients of tonight’s resiliency runs deep awards, there really are no words to describe the pride, I feel, and getting the privilege to represent these amazing businesses and communities,” MP Stubbs said. “The challenges you have faced have been unprecedented this last year but what I witnessed is leadership, and strength, support for your local businesses by residents, and in turn, we’ve all seen businesses that have been struggling themselves, give support to individuals.”

Lakeland Connect would like to thank the Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce and all the sponsors for making this event possible.

Congratulations to all the winners.
