I hope this message continues to find everyone safe and healthy. Our Incident Management Team, along with our Region’s CAO’s, certainly have accepted the new normal in managing our way through this Pandemic. Additionally, I want to thank our Essential Services Stakeholders, whom we also meet with regularly, in ensuring the needs and safety of our region continues to be a priority. Our stakeholders include:

  • Therese and Elk Point Health Centers
  • Paul and Elk Point RCMP Detachments
  • Alberta Health Services – Public Health Inspector
  • Medavie Health Services West – EMS
  • Emergency Social Services – FCSS for Towns of Elk Point & St. Paul, County of St. Paul
  • Paul Education Regional School Division #1
  • ATCO Electric
  • AltaGas Utilities
  • Region of St. Paul: Safety, Liaison and Public Information Officers

Last week it was announced that the Province of Alberta has implemented a Fire Ban for the Forest Protection Area (FPA). Currently, there is NO BAN within the County of St. Paul. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions, and will make adjustments accordingly. For any open burning of brush, grass, stubble, crops, etc., you must obtain a burning permit first by contacting the County of St. Paul at 780-645-3301.
