Bonnyville RCMP warn residents of scam

On August 27th the Bonnyville RCMP received several reports of a scammer calling them pretending to be a member of the RCMP asking for bank account information and Social Insurance Number (SIN) information.

Anyone receiving a similar call should not give out personal information as the RCMP do not ask for this type of information over the phone.

Scams such as this can be reported to the Anti-Fraud 1-800-495-8501 and/or your local RCMP.
