Moose Lake residents encouraged to help clean large items

Spring cleaning at Moose Lake has begun.

The Moose Lake Watershed Society and the M.D. of Bonnyville are hosting their spring Moose Lake clean up for large items until June 1.

The drop-off locations are Northshore Heights, Birch Grove, Vezeau Beach, Bonnyville Beach, and Ferby boat launches.

People can drop off items that are littering the shoreline and lake at five locations, such as damaged docks, broken boat lifts, floating debris, sandbag remnants, beach paraphernalia, and other large items that are damaging to the environment and are a danger for those using the lake, said Kellie Nichiporik, President of the Moose Lake Watershed Society (MLWS).

MLWS ask that items for drop off be piled on the side, so not to block the boat launch and will be collected at the end of the clean-up.
