Intoxicated woman causes disturbance in cab

On December 23rd, at 8:30 pm, Cold Lake RCMP were notified by Continental Cab that there was an intoxicated female in the cab. She had been picked up at the Dollar Tree and ended up passing out in the cab and became uncooperative with the driver.

Arrested was 33 year old Chantelle Jacknife, from Cold Lake First Nations, who was also on conditions of release. She was bond by an undertaking and charged with two counts of breach in relation to the undertaking. The conditions she was in breach of included, failing to keep the peace & being of good behaviour and obstain from the consumption of alcohol. Jacknife was also charged with disobeying a court order and causing a disturbance.

She appeared before a Justice of the Peace and released on a $1,500 no cash bail. Jacknife has conditions to appear in court on January 15th at Cold Lake at 10:00 am.
