Man arrested after punching Points West employee

On November 11th, at approximately 3:17 pm, RCMP received a call from Points West Living. Staff Sergeant of the Cold Lake Detachment, Jeremie Landry explains the call, “it was reported to us that a male was on site, causing problems. RCMP attended and determined that a 29 year old male had punched an employee of Points West Living, in the face.”

The attending officer ended up located the suspect in the nearby hospital lobby and he was arrested for assault. “He was aggressive with the officer, throughout the arrest process and the logging in the cells.”

The suspect was released, when sober, on a promise to appear in court to answer to the assault charges. Court is set for December 13th at 10:00 am, in Cold Lake. The name of the accused was not released.
