Alberta Health Services (AHS), Health Advisory Committee, will be hosting a meeting intended to gain feedback from local residents on the state of health care in the region. The public is welcome to attend the meeting, presented via teleconference, on Thursday, January 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Cold Lake Community Health Services, Public Health, Mobile Unit, Education Room.
In a press release from AHS the agency says that public feedback helps drive service, “The Health Advisory Councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure that services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.”
