Two males arrested following police pursuit

On August 18th two males stole a truck from the Crane Lake area and drove to the St. Paul area where they engaged in a brief pursuit with St. Paul RCMP. Bonnyville RCMP later located the males in the same stolen truck just outside the Elizabeth Metis Settlement. They were both arrested and taken into custody.

The driver, a 26 year old male from Cold Lake was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Resist Arrest, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Mischief Under $5000, Fail to Comply with an Undertaking and Failing to stop for a Police Officer.

The passenger, a 19 year old male from Edmonton was charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Resist Arrest and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.

The names of the accused have not been released by the RCMP at this time. It is unknown when their next court appearance will be; however names can be obtained, by the public, via the court system.
