Volunteers Needed to Build Playground at Pyrogy Park

Last Updated: July 19, 2016By Tags: , ,

Thirty volunteers are needed this weekend to help erect the new playground at Pyrogy Park in Glendon. The new playground is part of the revitalization project at the popular tourist attraction; other features include an outdoor ice rink, picnic area and wheelchair accessible washrooms. The playground is expected to take three days to set up, with work beginning on Thursday.

In September 2015, the Municipal District of Bonnyville gave the Village $100,000 to assist in completing the revitalization project. At the time of the funding Reeve for the MD, Ed Rondeau said the money was an investment back into the region as the park was a very popular tourist attraction and brought many visitors to the area.

If you are able to assist, even if only a few hours throughout the weekend, contact the Village Office at 780-635-3807 or email glendon@mcsnet.ca.
