Bogus Claim leads to Arrest
On April 18th, just before noon, Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint of a male who was observed, possibly, selling pills to kids. RCMP attended, investigated, and found there was no evidence to support the allegations on the man. However, the complainant, who was deemed to be intoxicated at the time, had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Killam.
A 35 year old female, from Killam, was arrested and remanded for court on April 27th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake. As for the warrant out of Killam, the female will be in court in Killam to speak on those charges on May 3rd.
Charges from Cold Lake include two counts of failing to comply with conditions. She was released on $1750.00 bail, but couldn’t come up with the money and was thus remanded. The charges from Killam are unknown to the Cold Lake Detachment.
