One Headlight leads to Impaired Charges
While on routine patrol, on April 15th, at 11:30 pm the Cold Lake RCMP observed a vehicle driving in the opposite direction with a burned out driver’s side headlight, on Highway 28 near 40th avenue. The RCMP pulled the vehicle over and conducted a sobriety test on the driver.
The driver, a 54 year old male, from Cold Lake, failed the roadside sobriety test and provided breath samples over the legal limit. He has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and operating a motor vehicle while over 0.08.
The man will appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on May 11th at 10:00 am
