Around 8:30 in the morning on Saturday April 2nd, the RCMP responded to a 911 call of a break and enter in progress at a local residence on the southwest side of St. Paul.

The report was of an individual trying to pry open the front door with a bladed object while the caller and his family were inside.  The person fled when they realized someone was home, however the homeowner was able to take a video of the suspect through his window as they ran off.  Police set up containment of several blocks, locating a woman attempting to hide under a camper trailer nearby.  After a short foot chase, officers arrested the suspect in an adjacent backyard.  Several tools and pieces of clothing were seized as evidence.

The 27 year old woman from St. Paul has been charged with breaking and entering to a residence, theft under $5000, and uttering a forged medical prescription which stemmed from an earlier incident. She will be appearing in St. Paul provincial court on April 7th, 2016.
