Charges Laid in Series of Cold Lake Indecent Acts

Over the past 2 months, Cold Lake RCMP have been investigating a series of indecent acts committed at numerous businesses within the City of Cold Lake, between May 19, 2015, and September 5, 2015.  RCMP appealed to the public for any information that may assist with these investigations.  As a result of this investigation, Cold Lake RCMP have arrested and charged 36 year old Richard David Butt of Cold Lake.  Richard Butt has been charged with 5 counts of committing an Indecent Act and 5 counts of committing Mischief.  Richard Butt has since been released from custody to appear at Cold Lake Provincial Court, on November 25th, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.  All of these incidents had the potential for children to be present, although it is believed that no children were witness to these events.  No attempt to assault anyone was made during these indecent acts and Cold Lake Victim Services remains available to assist victims of these crimes.
