Brinson Paschinuk Named AJHL Player of the Week

The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is defenceman Brinson Pasichnuk of the Bonnyville Pontiacs.  Brinson recorded 6 points (1G / 5A) in 3 games during the week of October 12th – 18th.  The 17 year old also scored the game winner in OT versus the Calgary Mustangs on October 17th and earned the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game award.

Brinson Pasichnuk is tied for third place in the AJHL Scoring Race with 22 points and leads all AJHL defencemen.  He is in the midst of a 6 game point streak in which he has scored 15 points.   The Pontiacs have won their last 9 consecutive games.

Paschinuk (Bonnyville, AB) has committed to the Vermont of the NCAA Division I.

Calgary Canucks goaltender, Caiden Kreitz, is the Alberta Ford Dealers Goalie of the Week.  Kreitz led his hometown Canucks in two back to back wins over the Drumheller Dragons.

The 17 year old rookie allowed the Dragons just one goal on October 13th and posted a shutout on October 17th while picking up the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game award.  Kreitz turned away 67 of 68 shots and recorded a .5 GAA.  The Calgary Canucks are 5-5-0 in the last 10 games.
