Lakeland Petroleum Services Co-operative Ltd. (Lakeland Co-op) has entered into an agreement to acquire the RONA Cold Lake location.

Through this acquisition, the location will transition into a Lakeland Co-op Home and Farm Centre. This transaction is subject to certain closing conditions and is anticipated to close later this summer, once all conditions are satisfied.

With a Co-op Cardlock and Co-op Gas Bar already in Cold Lake, Lakeland Co-op sees this acquisition as an opportunity to broaden its presence in Cold Lake and further invest in the community.

“This acquisition represents an important opportunity for Lakeland Co-op to expand our presence in Cold Lake and better serve the evolving needs of the community,” said Jp Stassen, General Manager at Lakeland Co-op. “By transitioning this location to a Home and Farm Centre, we’re able to offer a more diversified product mix, while continuing to deliver the trusted service and local investment our members expect.”

The Co-op Home and Farm Centre will feature an expanded range of hardware, home improvement products, agricultural supplies, including bagged animal feed and other seasonal offerings.

Both parties are working collaboratively to ensure a smooth transition and to support employees and customers throughout the process.
