On June 25, 2026, Dillon John Lee Cardinal of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 39 years.
He is survived by his common law, Casey Gadwa-John; children, Delilah Large, Vance Cardinal, Sumarah Large & Riley Cardinal; loving mother, Karen Scanie; siblings, R.J, Charelle, Hudson & Blaeze; aunts, Sylvia, Martha, Val & Isabelle; uncle, James; kokom, Mary Steinhauer, as well as numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Dillon was predeceased by his dad, Ralph; daughter, Tahnee; step-dad, Don; kokom, Eliza & Godfather, John.
A Wake will be held on Tuesday, June 30 & Wednesday, July 1 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Pastor Linda Burns will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
