Due to the forecasted weather conditions, a Fire Advisory is effective May 27, 2026, at 1200hrs for the Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87, the Summer Villages of Bonnyville Beach and Pelican Narrows, and the Village of Glendon. This update reflects conditions also noted in the Lac La Biche Forest Area.
Under this Advisory:
• Under this advisory current fire permits remain valid.
• Requests for new fire permits will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Allowed Activities:
• Safe wood campfires and backyard fire pits
• Propane fire pits and natural gas-powered appliance
• Charcoal and wood-burning devices with an on-off switch.
• Indoor wood fires
• Open flame oil devices
• Off-highway vehicles remain permitted.
Wildfire Prevention:
Never leave a campfire unattended. Use the “Soak it, stir it, soak it again” method until the site is cool to the touch. Report wildfires immediately by calling 310-FIRE.
