On April 17, 2026, Mrs. Joan Rita Vankoughnett of Vilna, Alberta, formerly of Belleville, Ontario, passed away at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her loving children, Wendy (Syd) Kuryliw, Christopher Hoard & Alexis Vankoughnett (Aaron Stroshein); 6 grandchildren, Tim Stierle, Sarjenka Kuryliw, Fred Kuryliw, Justice Vankoughnett, Taylor Vankoughnett & Santana Vankoughnett; 2 great-grandchildren, Ariellah & Ezrah; special friends, Terry Lahay & Nick Wowk. Joan was predeceased by her grandparents, Newton & Agnes Loft; son Farrell Hoard; siblings, Cecilia Lowry, Eleanor Fuse & David Hannah. Family and friends: Love ya & see ya, Ó:nen (bye). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Mr. Will Gill will be officiating with cremation to follow and inurnment in Ontario. For those unable to attend in person, the funeral will be live-streamed (see below). A recording of the service will also be made available.
