A 72-year-old St. Paul man has died following a serious motor vehicle collision early Friday morning at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 36.
St. Paul RCMP say the crash happened shortly before 6 a.m. and involved a stopped semi-truck and an SUV. The driver of the SUV, the sole occupant, was declared deceased at the scene.
Emergency crews, including Ashmont Fire, EMS and an Alberta RCMP Collision Analyst, responded to the incident. The scene has since been cleared, but the investigation remains ongoing.
RCMP are extending condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
