St. Paul is calling on the community to step up and help bring this year’s banner project across the finish line.
With a late-April deadline approaching, St. Paul Champions for Change is looking for six more volunteers to help complete the 2026 Community Banner Project — a colourful initiative that transforms main street into a celebration of local creativity.
A Project That Brightens Main Street
Each year, these banners are displayed along St. Paul’s main street from May through October, adding colour, pride, and community spirit to the town.
This year’s theme, “The Colours & Creatures of our Boreal Forest,” highlights the natural beauty of the region — from towering spruce and pine trees to wildlife like moose, lynx, owls, and more.
No Experience Needed
Volunteers don’t need any artistic background to take part.
Support and guidance are available during Wednesday evening sessions from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Visual Arts Centre, where helpers can paint, transfer designs, and get hands-on assistance throughout the process.
Participants can also work on banners at home if they prefer.
Deadline is Approaching
Completed banners are due by April 15, 2026, making the next couple of weeks critical to getting the project finished and ready for display.
