St. Paul Wellness Fair Focuses on Compassionate Intervention and Community Connection

Community members and organizations will gather on Thursday, February 26 for the St. Paul Wellness Fair, a day dedicated to strengthening mental health awareness, collaboration, and overall well-being. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Centennial Senior Citizen Club and is supported in part by the Mental Health Foundation and Recovery Alberta.

This year’s theme, “Compassionate Intervention,” reflects a growing commitment in the region to promote thoughtful, community-based responses to addiction and to enhance access to treatment and recovery services.

The focus is clear: strengthen awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure residents know where and how to access support.

Throughout the day, attendees can explore booths hosted by community partners, hear from informative guest speakers, and take part in prize draws designed to engage participants and highlight local wellness initiatives. Lunch will be provided to booth participants.

Organizers say the goals of the Wellness Fair extend beyond a single day. The event aims to strengthen collaboration between departments and external partners, encourage a culture of safety and self-care, increase awareness of available health and workplace resources, and provide education on physical, emotional, and psychological wellness. Promoting resilience and overall well-being remains central to the initiative.

Additionally, the fair offers local organizations an opportunity to participate directly by hosting a booth and connecting with residents face-to-face.

As conversations around mental health and addiction continue to evolve, events like the St. Paul Wellness Fair help bring resources into the open and reinforce a simple message: community support matters.
