Bonnyville Search & Rescue Thanks CNRL for Community-Focused Donation
Bonnyville Search & Rescue (BSAR) is recognizing a generous donation from Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL), saying the support will have a direct and meaningful impact on emergency response capabilities across the Lakeland.
The volunteer-based organization expressed its appreciation publicly, highlighting how the funding will help them meet the growing challenges faced during search and rescue operations.
“Thank you CNRL for being generous and community supportive,” Bonnyville Search & Rescue shared. “The spin off with this generous donation will be widespread in that these funds will better facilitate our abilities to meet the challenges we face when called upon.”
Supporting Safety Across the Lakeland
Bonnyville Search & Rescue responds to emergencies across a large rural region, assisting with searches for missing persons, ground and wilderness rescues, and supporting other emergency agencies when needed. Access to equipment, training, and operational resources is critical to their work.
“The Lakelands are our home and playground and we all need to be safe and aware, even though accidents can happen,” the organization said.
The donation will help strengthen readiness and response, ensuring volunteers are better equipped when emergencies arise.
Community First, Always
While search and rescue teams are trained and ready to respond at any time, BSAR emphasized that prevention and awareness remain just as important as emergency response.
“Hopefully we can meet during public times rather than by accident,” the message added.
Bonnyville Search & Rescue relies heavily on community support, fundraising, and partnerships to maintain operations and continue serving the region safely and effectively.
