February 17, 1955 – December 18, 2025

 

On Thursday December 18, 2025, Roslyn passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Cold Lake First Nations, Alberta, at the age of 70.

 

 

Roslyn will be lovingly remembered by her children: Wendy (Derek) Martineau, Andy Blackman, and Joey (Robin) Blackman; her cherished grandchildren: Angel, Chad, Jacob, Kadyn, Xander, Oree, Julian, Marie, Nasya, Andrew, Jerome, Kate, Hunter, Naomi, and Adam; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Jojo, Zaide, Luanna, Iron, Zadyn, Kalani, and Callahan.

 

 

She is also fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Joyce (Tony) Mandamin, Bernadette Cardinal, Susan Blackman, Cecile Blackman, Brian Blackman, Sharon (Jack) Procyk, Victoria Schmidt, Barbara Blackman, and Charles Blackman; her brother-in-law Dave Reimer; as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

 

 

Roslyn was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Weal; her parents, Francis and Maryanne Blackman; her sister Marlene Reimer; her brother Frank Blackman; her brothers-in-law Cam Hinds, Richard Cardinal, Clifford Cardinal and Peter Chong; her nephews Francis Boyd McFeeters and Alex Blackman; and her niece Frankie Roslyn Blackman.

 

 

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to all the friends and relatives for their support at this time and would like to invite all for luncheon at the Spiritual Centre after the service.
