RCMP Respond to Police Incident in Goodfish Lake

Residents were asked to lock their doors Wednesday night as St. Paul RCMP tracked a potentially armed suspect in the Goodfish Lake Town Site.

At 9:18 p.m., police advised of a heavy police presence and urged community members to stay alert.

“Although there is no active threat towards community members, we are asking local residents to lock your doors and call 9-1-1 if you observe any suspicious activity,” RCMP stated.

RCMP conducted an extensive search into the early hours of the morning.

By 12:42 a.m., officers cleared the scene, confirming they were unable to locate the suspect. However, they no longer believe the suspect is in the area.

“Although unsuccessful in locating the suspect, RCMP have conducted an extensive search and no longer believe the suspect is in the area,” the update read.

No injuries or damages were reported. A follow-up release is anticipated with additional details.
