Vermilion RCMP lays charges in disturbance

On Feb. 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30PM, Vermilion RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a local establishment.

Members attended and located the individual. An investigation determined that the male had also attended a nearby liquor store and consumed liquor without paying for it. 

As a result of this investigation, Michael Carlson, a 53-year-old resident of Mannville, was arrested and charged with:

  • Causing a disturbance;
  • Theft under $5000; and
  • Failure to comply with probation.

Carlson was released from custody on an Undertaking. He is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion on May 5, 2025.
