Assault with a weapon charge laid after bear mace attack in St. Paul
A 21-year-old is facing charges after a man was bear sprayed at a St. Paul business.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, shortly before 2:30pm, police received a report of an assault with a weapon at business near 52 Street and 50 Avenue.
Once on scene, police discovered a male had been bear sprayed, RCMP say. The suspect was located, arrested, and charged.
Samara Maria Jackson, 21, resident of Saddle Lake, was charged with:
- assault with a weapon
- theft under $5000
- unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Jackson was released on conditions, and was set to appear in St. Paul court today on Thursday, Oct. 24.
